Annette Poulard's immense talents were soon recognised, and she was awarded the honorary title of "Mère", in recognition of her exceptional cooking skills and her decisive contribution to the renown of French gastronomy: this is how the name La Mère Poulard was born.

This year, local products are more than ever in the limelight. "We've introduced several Breton products to our new menus: lamb, but also ham from Breton pigs reared on straw," explains our Executive Chef, Cédric Navet. "Our beers are also ultra-local, and our menus are even more varied: 100% home-made dishes that smell like childhood, like our caramelised baked apples. Or burgers and boards to share for younger customers".
