La Mère Poulard Group open days
On 11 and 12 March, La Mère Poulard Group organised two open days to give all applicants a chance to discover the businesses and establishments of the Mont Saint-Michel's leading hotel and restaurant operator.
The programme:
- An opportunity to meet the teams at La Mère Poulard Group, and in particular the catering, hotel and sales professions.
- Discussions with the teams, to ask all the practical questions related to employment: the continuous working hours offered by the Group (no surprises, no breaks!), salary, work organisation and the content of each job.
- In-house training opportunities, so that you can develop within a profession and be offered a wide range of career development opportunities.
- A one-and-a-half-hour tour of the Group's sites. First stop: the Group's flagship establishment, the Auberge La Mère Poulard. Visit to the open kitchen, with a demonstration of the omelette beating process to music by the team of omelette makers. Followed by a tour of the restaurant's 3 rooms by the human resources team, who presented the service professions. Second stage: discovery of the sales professions, takeaway sales and souvenir sales, in La Mère Poulard's shops: Equinoxe and Cheval Blanc. Géraldine, who has been a sales assistant for around twenty years, gave a brief description of her day-to-day work in the shop, including greeting the public, restocking goods and managing the till. Afterwards, visit the group's other establishments: La Confiance, the hotel-restaurant Le Mouton Blanc and the restaurant Les Terrasses de la Baie, with its breathtaking view over the bay of Mont Saint-Michel and its ramparts.
